Bologna
Bologna, a city of incredible charm, is just a 30-minute drive from our hotel. The city is truly a place to explore starting with Piazza Maggiore, which is the heart of the city, famous for its Fountain of Neptune. The Torre degli Asinelli, one of the symbols of the city of Bologna, is also worth a visit. From its top it is in fact possible to enjoy a priceless view of the city. Another place worth visiting is the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, an outstanding religious symbol of the city, connected to Bologna by a 4 km long road, a continuous arcade with over 600 arches, the longest in the world.
Besides cultural and artistic beauties, Bologna is an important exhibition center. Cosmoprof and Eima International are just some of the events that are hosted every year at the Bologna Fair.

Modena and Ferrara
Modena is just 40 minutes by car from our hotel and offers a graceful historical center which includes the Duomo, Piazza Grande and the Torre della Ghirlandina, all included in the World Heritage List.
Ferrara, another pearl of beauty is just 30 minutes from Hotel Castel D'Argile. You can literally breathe art here, strolling through the streets of the town, the fulcrum of the Italian Renaissance. The imposing Castello Estense and the marvelous cathedral are worth seeing.
A tour of these cities will help you appreciate the delicious local cuisine, including fried dumplings and the legendary tortellini from Modena as well as cappellacci di zucca from Ferrara!

Cento Carnival
Cento is just 2 km from our hotel and every year the town hosts one of the most important carnivals in Italy, the Cento Carnival. It is held five Sundays before Lent to immerse yourself in a world of colors, masks, beauty and fun. Works of art on parade, giving joy to young and old alike.
